April 2010
School Stage at the Royal Albert Hall

In April 2010, schools from the London Borough of Barnet gathered together to celebrate the wealth of musical talent. Over1000 children performed for their proud families and friends at the Royal Albert Hall.

School Stage was contacted by Barnet music service Director Lynn Holman-Fox to co ordinate and supply technical services for the evening's concert. Managing Director /owner of School Stage, Chris, was also educated in Barnet. He decided this would be a wonderful opportunity to belatedly celebrate 10 years in business, sponsoring lighting and subsidising sound costs by bringing together companies and friends from his production days prior to setting up School Stage.

"Although my roots were in theatrical lighting design I was not in a position to handle the design on my own, due to several other major projects at the time..Richard White from Richard White Design was contacted and, with the support of Royal Albert Hall's technical team, we managed to produce an impressive light show. "

School Stage also co ordinated the sound and recording of the evenings concert. We used the in - house sound speaker system supplied and supported by Sound By Design. Stuart Turvill from W1 Productions was contacted to supply the engineers, microphones, mixing desks and recording equipment. One of the monitor engineers employed by W1 productions, Tom Mathews, began his career with CW Newton Ltd, where Chris encouraged and introduced Tom to the industry. "I am so proud of Tom, He was a typical Roadie and now engineers many well-known artists around the world."

Friends and contacts over the years were invited to celebrate the childrens' achievement as well as toasting the future of School Stage.
