Transferring your sound from transmitter to receiver via a digital signal in 2.4GHz, rather than a radio frequency, the XD-V range delivers interference free, non companded sound reproduction and because it is digital you won’t need a radio frequency licence.

Sound reproduction
XD-V digital wireless microphones deliver the best in sound reproduction which is natural and responsive. The compander-free designs make sure of that. Full-range frequency response and wide dynamic range are just the tip of the iceberg. The wireless signal is so clear and strong
that it sounds just like you're using a wired microphone.
Many wireless systems require companders to transmit their signals. The problem is that these kill sound quality by compressing and expanding the signal. XD-V digital wireless microphones have never used them. Instead they feature 4th-generation digital wireless technology for superior sound quality.
2.4GHz broadcast.
The best way to avoid interference? Don't get in its way. Broadcasting in the 2.4GHz band successfully avoids interference caused by TV stations, cell phone towers, and other high-powered sources. Plus, it can be used around the country without a license.
